Cundall Manor School pupils, parents and staff are celebrating today following a fantastic set of GCSE results.
The school recorded another wonderful set of GCSE results including a 100% overall pass rate with 96% of students gaining the equivalent of 5 or more ‘good passes’ at GCSE.
Pupils also secured an impressive third (33%) of all passes at 9-7 (A*/A) grade or equivalent – up 13.9% against the national average for 2017.
90% of exams are now graded numerically with the new 9 – 1 grading scale replacing the old A* – G in certain subjects. The final subjects will be phased into other GCSEs across England next year.
The school also delivered excellent overall results in subjects such as Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Further Maths, French, German, P.E., Music, Art and Textiles which saw 100% of pupils achieving the equivalent of a grade C or above.
Pupils are celebrating having secured places at some of the county’s leading sixth form providers.
John Sample, Joint Head at Cundall Manor School, said: “I would like to pass on my congratulations to our Year 11 students for their wonderful achievements.”
