Boarding Options
Cundall Manor offers weekly or flexi boarding during term time. All pupils sleep in dormitories of between two and eight pupils of a similar age. Dormitories tend to be larger for the younger boarders, reducing to two bed study rooms at the senior end of the school.
Weekly boarding
For busy working parents, weekly boarding is a popular option. Parents have the peace of mind that their children are being supported in their school work and prep and are enjoying a rich programme of activities with friends in the evenings; they can look forward to spending quality time with their children when they come home at the weekends.
Weekly boarding is also great preparation for those pupils who will eventually be moving on to Public School. Our boarding house helps them adapt to life away from home before they take on the rigours and routines of full time boarding in the larger school houses associated with major Public Schools.
Flexi boarding
Pupils can also dip in and out of boarding on an ad hoc basis through our flexi boarding program. This can be useful for parents whose work occasionally takes them away from home for a few days, or when they have to leave home very early in the morning or expect to work very late. Many pupils simply choose to be a flexi boarder just for the fun of staying in school overnight, joining in the programme of boarders’ activities, or simply being with their friends.
