Cundall Manor is situated in a magnificent 28-acre site in the vale of York, between Ripon and Thirsk. The school occupies a very accessible position, being close to the A1 and A168.
We are a thriving fully co-educational school which caters for children between the ages of 2 and 16 years of age. Boys and girls are thoroughly prepared for entry into a variety of senior schools and we have a good scholarship record. Much has changed in the last 20 years and continual improvements are being made to keep abreast of changing needs and increasing numbers.
The school boasts well-equipped classrooms and science laboratories, a 20-metre indoor heated swimming pool, a skateboard park, numerous rugby, football and hockey pitches as well as cricket nets and our famous tipis.
Learning Support Teaching Assistant – Full Time
Required for January 2027 or earlier
Cundall Manor School is a thriving independent co-educational day and boarding school for pupils aged 2–16, located in a beautiful rural setting near the North Yorkshire Moors, with excellent transport links to York, Harrogate, Ripon and Thirsk.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and proactive Full Time, Learning Support Assistant to play a key role in supporting pupils across Cundall Manor School by ensuring they can access learning effectively and make strong progress.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Learning Support (SENCo) and Academic Staff to provide in-class support, deliver targeted 1:1 and small group interventions, and assist with the day-to-day organisation of learning support provision. You will help to create a positive, inclusive learning environment, offering guidance, encouragement and practical assistance to pupils with a range of learning needs. You may also  be required to support pupils during assessments and internal examinations to ensure appropriate access arrangements are implemented.
Candidates should demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a warm and positive approach, and a willingness to contribute fully to the wider life of this busy and vibrant school. An enthusiasm for creative arts, sport, outdoor learning and enrichment activities would be highly valued.
The role includes responsibilities to support the pastoral wellbeing and academic progress of pupils, and contributing to the school’s rich co-curricular programme, educational visits and whole-school events.

Teacher of Music
Required for January 2027
Cundall Manor School is seeking to appoint an outstanding and enthusiastic Teacher of Music to develop music across the school. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented musician, teacher and organiser to build upon our strong musical tradition and inspire pupils through exceptional classroom teaching, choirs, ensembles, productions and performances.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering an engaging and ambitious music curriculum whilst leading the wider musical life of the school. They will direct school choirs and ensembles, organise concerts and musical events and create opportunities for pupils to perform both within school and the wider community.
Music is a highly valued part of life at Cundall Manor School and plays a central role in many of our celebrations and community events. We are looking for a creative and energetic individual who will foster a love of music in pupils of all ages and abilities, whilst ensuring that performance opportunities are plentiful, inclusive and inspiring.
The role offers the chance to shape the strategic development of music, oversee instrumental tuition, direct major musical events and work closely with pupils, parents, staff and external organisations.
