Rachel Powell
Rachel Powell gained a degree in Agriculture and Food Marketing at Newcastle University before joining Wm Morrison Supermarkets as a graduate trainee buyer. She rose rapidly through the ranks to become a Trading Manager with responsibility for the buying and marketing of a significant sector of the fresh food business which she ran with a team of buyers. She left Morrisons in 2002 to spend more time with her then young family and ran her own food marketing consultancy helping clients at all levels of the food industry to develop their business. Since then she has been involved in a number of project management and building development assignments. Both of her children have enjoyed success at Cundall; Monty gained an academic scholarship to Harrow, and Archie achieved the honour of being Head Boy before joining his brother at Harrow. Rachel is a very well-known and extremely approachable figure in the school having played prominent roles on the Friends of Cundall Manor and the Summer Ball committees for many years. She became a governor in 2016, taking on the key role of child safeguarding governor.
