Ann Wheatcroft
Ann has over 30 years’ experience in the primary education sector. Since being awarded her degree in Education Studies and English from Nottingham University she has had extensive experience of school leadership spending nearly two decades as a Headteacher in North Yorkshire in both rural and urban settings including an Enhanced Mainstream School which had a Specialist Provision for children with speech, language and communication difficulties.
During her time there, the school achieved its first good Ofsted rating as well as increasing its roll by 100 pupils and consequently the school underwent significant building expansion.
Currently Ann is working as an Executive Director of School Improvement for a local multi academy trust supporting a number of primary and secondary schools and their leadership teams in North and West Yorkshire. In addition, she is the Strategic Lead for the Primary Initial Teacher Training Programme in the trust.
Ann has been a governor at Cundall Manor since 2018 and chairs the Education Committee. She is the link governor with responsibility for EYFS, Pre–Prep, Key Stage 2 and Special Educational Needs.
