Form 4 Visit York for 21 Gun Salute
Form 4 recently visited York to honour HRH the Prince of Wales on his birthday. Form 4’s Jack writes about the trip.
On Tuesday 14th November 2017 Form 4 went to the Royal Salute in York Museum gardens. It was to celebrate His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales birthday. We watched the 21 gun salute which is made with 3 guns firing a total of 21 single shots with a 10 second gap between each round. Afterwards, we got to meet the soldiers form the 4th Regiment Royal Artillery. We were also able to take a closer look at the guns, trying out aiming them by moving the barrel up and down, lifting them up to move them and sitting in the firing seat. We all had a really good day.
