Two groups of Year 11 pupils recently completed their final Silver Duke of Edinburgh expedition, a demanding three-day challenge across the North York Moors. Each group planned their own 30-mile routes, navigating from Great Ayton to Commondale, then onto Kirby, and finishing at Cod Beck on Sunday.
The expedition tested their physical endurance, navigation, and teamwork, with the desolate moors made even more challenging by early morning mist on Saturday. Undeterred, the pupils demonstrated resilience, problem-solving, and strong leadership throughout. Both groups completed the expedition successfully and passed with flying colours, earning an important milestone towards their Silver Award.
