Sport Report
The last week has been another successful week of sport here at Cundall. On Monday the Upper School boys had a very close encounter against Yarm at Under 15s when the lead changed several times, with our team only conceding defeat in the final minute 41-48. On Tuesday, also against Yarm, the Under 12A team gained revenge with a 15-7 win and the Under 16 girls hockey team also recorded a 5-0 victory.
On Wednesday there was a block fixture against St Mary’s Hall with the girls recording some excellent results. In Hockey the Under 13s won 3-2, the Under 12s won 7-1, whilst in netball there were improved performances at Under 11 and Under 10 (with scores of 3-11 and 0-0 respectively). The boys were equally successful with the Under 13A team winning 46-0 and the Under 13B team winning 50-0. The Under 11A team continue to have close encounters with a 28-33 loss whilst the Under 11B team recorded a 40-0 victory. Against Silcoates School in hockey the Under 11 girls won 5-0 and the Under 10s also won, by 5-3.
On Thursday the Under 15 girls continued their successes in hockey with a 5-3 victory over Scarborough College. The Under 15 boys were involved in another high scoring match in their 31-54 loss also to Scarborough College.
Finally on Friday Cundall hosted visitors from King’s Hawford, Worcester in an afternoon of excellent and well matched sport. The Under 11A team lost narrowly by 5-12 whilst the Under 11B team drew 24-24. For the girls the Under 11A team drew 2-2 and the Under 11B team won 1-0. Well done to everyone involved this week!
