Sport for All

With superb facilities set across extensive grounds in excess of 28 acres, Cundall Manor ensures that sport and exercise play an integral part in the life of every pupil at the school. Not only is exercise essential to a healthy lifestyle, it also provides a much valued balance to the rigours of the academic curriculum. We aim to capture the children’s enthusiasm, to ensure enjoyment and promote lifelong participation in sport.

Every child participates in a physical activity on a daily basis and also has every opportunity to represent the school in a fixture each term. Whatever their individual level of ability, participation in team events is critical to teaching children to work within a team, to experience the challenge of sport in a competitive context, and to promote an appreciation of the value of fair play and sportsmanship.

The school’s reputation for sport is cemented through a series of awards, trophies and Cundall alumni playing at the highest standard across the world. In 2016, we were proud to be a shortlisted finalist for the ISA National Award for Outstanding Achievement in Sport, an award we last won in 2014.

Individual Excellence

Skills are nurtured and developed at all levels and ages, and each year a number of our most able pupils represent the school at district, county and national level in their chosen sport, thus allowing the opportunity for children to be stretched and challenged. Cundall Manor is also fortunate to be able to offer a scholarship scheme to support and develop talented young sportsmen and women within the school.
