GCSE Programme: Years 10 & 11
At Key Stage 4, pupils are provided with a broad and engaging curriculum leading to GCSE qualifications.
English Language, English Literature, Mathematics and Science (separate, 3 GCSEs or combined, 2 GCSEs) are compulsory. Pupils then select four choices from a suite of optional subjects such as Art, Business Studies, Computer Science, Design Technology, Drama, French, Further Maths, Geography, History, Music, Physical Education, Religious Studies, Spanish, and Textiles. This diverse range of subjects allows students to explore their interests, develop new skills, and build a strong foundation for future academic and personal success.
This programme of study usually leads to 9 or 10 GCSEs. In the run-up to their GCSEs pupils have weekly revision sessions 4-5pm every day, access to Saturday morning revision sessions and revision workshops during the Easter holiday. Our pupils are therefore well supported in these final weeks of preparing for their exams.
For those students who demonstrate exceptional ability, the option to take one or two GCSE exams a year early is available, providing an opportunity to further challenge and accelerate their learning journey. At Cundall Manor, we are committed to nurturing the individual talents and aspirations of each pupil, ensuring they are well-prepared for their future endeavours.
