Upper School visit to Harlow Carr

On Wednesday 9th September the Leckby Art and Textiles groups went on a trip to the RHS Harlow Carr gardens in Harrogate to gain inspiration for their new topic ‘Natural Forms’. The pupils spent the morning touring the gardens and sketching flora and fauna for use in their afternoon workshop. After lunch the Harlow Carr education team led the printmaking workshop where pupils looked at the works of the Arts and Crafts designer William Morris before printing their own designs inspired by their drawings. It was a great day, organised so well by the team at Harlow Carr and enjoyed enormously by all pupils.
